The Sun is About to Set in Barrow, AK, and Will Not be Seen Until 2024 Imagine sitting on your porch at midnight in midsummer, drinking a glass of beer, with the sun shining in the sky and lighting up the land. What an incredible daydream. Well, for Barrow, Alaska, this is not much of a dream but an annual reality. However, on the flip side, they experience two months of ominous darkness every winter. Amazing Glamping at Bear Valley, CA Bear Valley, California has the best glamping setup this summer. Bear Valley, located on Hwy 4 in Californiaโs Sierra Nevada mountains, is just 32 miles south of Lake Tahoe as the crow flies. The quaint mountain town has great year-round activities: cross-country and alpine skiing in the winter then mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and hiking in the summer. โImagine waking [โฆ] Joseph Phillips | August 29, 2019 0 Comments
Beautiful Photograph Shows Unedited Image of Sunset Split Down the Middle A sunset photo recently baffled viewers on social media. An unusual optical effect made the sunset resemble a split-screen image showing two very different skies side by side. On the right side is a horizon saturated with shades of red and yellow, an image of a beautiful sunset. But on the left side, the sky is darker and more ominous. Sunset in Lake Tahoe Tonight | Photo Tour Lake Tahoe put on a show tonight. The coming storm sped up winds and created layered lenticular clouds. They hovered above the lake at dusk and reflected the reds, oranges, and pinks of the evening sun. From a pier Tahoe City, California the show was stunning. Both East and West light up. The only thing lacking in tonights sunset was snow. There is absolutely no snow in Tahoe right now. It is still early, but Tahoe looks naked. She looked great naked tonight, but tomorrow, we want to see her dressed in white. [โฆ] Miles Clark | December 2, 2013 0 Comments
