Free FarOutFest celebration to take over Teton Village on Saturday, September 16

Teton Gravity Research (TGR), the global leader in action and adventure lifestyle media, today unveiled plans for a day of music, fun, and film in Teton Village, Wyoming, on Saturday, September 16th, launching the world premiere of its 28th annual ski film, Legend Has It. Following the premiere, TGR will embark on an expansive global tour that will bring the movie to more than 200 locations around the world.

At the world premiere, TGR will present two screenings of Legend Has It at Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village. The early show begins at 5:00 p.m., and the late show at 8:00 p.m. TGR has partnered with Jackson nonprofit Coombs Outdoors to help support their mission: to empower local youth and provide them the chance to participate in outdoor adventures and build community across diverse backgrounds and experiences. Proceeds from the two Legend Has It showings, as well as beverage sales and afterparty ticket sales, will benefit Coombs Outdoors.

In addition to the film screenings, TGR will take over Teton Village for FarOutFest, a full-day outdoor celebration. FarOutFest attendees will be treated to free music from DJ ManCat, The Deadlocks, and One Ton Pig. TGR athletes will be on hand to autograph posters, and attendees can purchase discounted Jackson Hole Mountain Resort bike park tickets as they reopen for the day.

Always a highlight of the film screenings, show attendees will have the chance to enter to win prizes from our partners, including Atomic, Völkl, Sierra Nevada, YETI, Mammut, Nissan, Tincup Whiskey, and others. Plus, everyone will have a shot at the tour grand prizes, including their biggest-ever giveaway, as someone will be driving home at the end of the tour in a Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition. Additional grand prizes include bucket list trips from Eleven and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

After the show, revelers can attend an afterparty at the world-famous Mangy Moose bar with music from SkiiTour, presented by Nissan. FarOutFest is free to attend, while film premiere tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids 16 and under (available at early show only). After-party tickets are $25. VIP tickets are $100 each and include a custom YETI Rambler, VIP seating at the Late Show, and a hosted bar at FarOutFest.

“The world premiere in Jackson marks the official start of our global film tour season. We’re stoked to celebrate with our friends and supporters of 28 years in our hometown and meet new fans who’ll be experiencing the TGR magic for the first time. The opportunity to support Coombs Outdoors makes the whole experience that much more rewarding.”

– Todd Jones, co-founder of TGR

World premiere tickets can be found here or at the TGR stores in Town Square, Wilson, and the Moose in Teton Village. SnowBrains will be in attendance at the World Premiere and will bring you the scoop the following day.
