[VIDEO] Small Child Nearly Trampled by Bison in Yellowstone National Park, WY, Yesterday

SnowBrains |

There never seems to be a short supply of these stories.

This video comes from Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming where yesterday several tourists were charged by a large bison.

It seems that the tourists were not giving the provoked bison enough space and, rather than leaving it alone and heading to safety, they stayed to watch what was going to happen next.

Then it charged them.

The video shows what appeared to be a small child nearly getting trampled by the large beast.

Luckily, the tourists managed to escape at the last moment, which is lucky, given how big and upset that bison looked.

It should always be front of mind when visiting areas with bison that these thousand-pound beasts could kill you in a heartbeat.

  1. Seriously. There really needs to be an IQ test before people at allowed in these parks. It appears the adult is holding onto the poor kid, instead of allowing the kid to run away. SMH!!!

  2. It will be interesting to see what everyone does at that point…

Reality is an interesting thing to deal with.

Enjoy pointing out the unintended consequences of people’s lofty altruism boomeranging back because they couldn’t think far enough forward in time.

  3. Waiting for the day that the Grizzly Bear & Gray Wolf are reintroduced back into the California Wilderness. Then we’ll get to see these types of attacks in our home national parks too.
