2 Critically Injured After Chairlift Falls at Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, B.C. Two people have been critically injured and two received minor injures after an empty chair hit a ski lift tower at Crystal Mountain ski resort nearl Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada on Saturday around 11am. Avalanche Death in Nelson, B.C. A 27-year-old male skier lost his life in an avalanche on Kootenay Pass near Nelson, B.C. this past Sunday. The avalanche victim was skiing with 3 partners when the avalanche struck. A 27-year-old woman was also caught in the slide and badly injured. Freeride World Tour Teaser for Revelstoke’s Dec. 18th Comp. The Freeride World Tour’s first stop this year is Revelstoke and it’s going down early. VIDEO: 30” of Snow in 24 Hours @ Fernie, B.C. Fernie ski resort in British Columbia just received 75cms (30 inches) of new snow in 24 hours on November 3rd, 2013.
