All Tahoe Ski Resorts Will CLOSE This Weekend:

This is your last chance to get up and ski in Lake Tahoe this winter. Kirkwood, Squaw, Mt. Rose, and Heavenly are the only ski resorts still open in Tahoe and theyโ€™ll all be closing this Sunday, April 19th. Despite being a low snow year, Tahoe hung very tough. Headwall, Mountain Run, & Lower Mountain Close @ Squaw Today

Snow is melting away fast at Squaw Valley. High temperatures were in the 60 everyday this week and you can tell. Waterfalls, creeks, and cascades are ubiquitous at Squaw right now. Itโ€™s loud out there with all the water flowing. The lower mountain is losing about a foot of snow per day. This melting has lead to the Mountain Run winding down to a 3 foot wide strip of snow that doesnโ€™t actually connect to the base area any longer. Hopefully Squaw farmed some snow last night and fixed that zone a touch just get us through the day today. [โ€ฆ]
