Music Mondays | Jet After a brief hiatus, Music Mondays is back once again. After a long time away we want to bring you a band many of you may be familiar with, but may not know a lot of their songs, and that band is Jet. While the Aussie band Jet, out of Melbourne Australia, is well known for their hits such as “Cold Hard Bitch”, and “Are You Gonna be my Girl”, much of their catalogue is unknown to most. With great lyrics, and riffs with an old school classic rock feel, Jet is one of the best bands you will ever listen to, and one of my favorite. Jet formed in 2001 in Melbourne Australia, with Cameron Muncey as the lead guitarist, Mark Wilson on bass, and brothers Nic and Chris Cester on rhythm guitar […] Jesse Cassidy | June 30, 2014 0 Comments
Music Mondays | Fitz And The Tantrums Why hello there, it’s once again our favorite day of the week, Monday. With a soulful, almost throwback feel,ย Fitz and the […] Jesse Cassidy | May 5, 2014 0 Comments
Music Mondays | Stromae Stromae, or Paul Van Haver, is a Belgian singer-songwriter who creates exceptional music in the electronic and hip-hop genres. While all his songs are in French, if you are not familiar with the language it sounds like gibberish, however, the producing and flow of the songs still make it enjoyable, even to the untrained ear. Interesting music videos, and amazing […] Jesse Cassidy | April 27, 2014 0 Comments
Music Mondays | TV Girl TV Girl is so underground they don’t even have a Wikipedia page, or a Vevo page, in this day of technology, that is saying something. However, with little info known, what is known is that TV Girl makes some damn good music, music that you should have. With slow, mellow, rocky (is that a word?) beats, TV Girl makes some awesome chill beats to ski, or just chill to. […] Jesse Cassidy | April 14, 2014 0 Comments
Music Mondays | Sonreal While slowly gaining recognition in the Canadian Hip-Hop scene, rapper and emcee Sonreal has been for the most part been overlooked here in the states. However with increasing popularity in Canada, and a newly released album, One Long Day, it is only a matter of time before Sonreal starts to gain attention down south. And with skiers such as TJ Schiller and Justin Dorey reppin their friend […] Jesse Cassidy | January 27, 2014 0 Comments
Music Mondays | Brad Sucks One man bands are generally, well, mediocre at best. Brad Turcotte however is the exception to that with his one man band Brad Sucks. Taking an alternative approach to the ever evolving music industry, Brad Sucks creates a sort of electro/experimental pop, that is a great addition to any playlist. The one man band with no fans began creating music in 2001 and has created three albums thus far. Brad Sucks takes an alternative approach to the music industry as he puts all his music online for free with no copyright, giving anyone the ability to remix and tweak his music. Go ahead and give em a listen, you’ll be glad you did. […] Jesse Cassidy | December 30, 2013 0 Comments
Music Mondays | Colourmusic Some of their songs aren’t even consider music by some critics, simply just noise. And with one listen to Colourmusics latest album, My ___ Is Pink, it is easy to see why. Mixing psychedelic, hardcore, experimental, and every other sort of musical genre in the mix, Colourmusic creates a one of a kind sound that some say is an acquired taste. Colourmusic doesn’t have a particular sound or genre associated with them, they simply […] Jesse Cassidy | December 9, 2013 0 Comments
Music Mondays | Chiddy Bang It’s everyones favorite day of the week once again, but to make things better we have snow in the forecast for much of the country, and some music that we here at Snowbrains would like to share with you. This week we think a hip-hop group by the name of Chiddy Bang belongs on that riding playlist we’ve all been working on for the […] Jesse Cassidy | December 2, 2013 0 Comments
