Las Lenas, Argentina Conditions Report: Working for Powder I was a bit shocked when i arrived at Las Leรฑas, I have never seen so little snow here in the past 6 years. But my friends soon assured my that up high there was still good powder to be found (Torreciallas, Entre Rios etc.). Not sure that i wanted to commit to a season pass on my first day two of my friends and me decided to go touring at lower elevation on the other side of the valley not using any lifts. There is a very sheltered area mostly south facing called la Oficina that usually holds […] Conditions Report Eike Poeppelmeier | July 28, 2014 0 Comments

Clean, Simple Pow Skiing Edit: “In Search of Solstice” by Bomb Snow The Bomb Snow crew has been getting after it since the first snowfall of the season. Searching for Solstice documents the cold wet storms that hit Montana in December 2013, frequently dropping their loads across most of the state. Although the early season has seen wide ranging temperatures resulting in un-bonded layers and rotten snow near the ground, weโve been lucky enough to get a pleasant amount of snow fall and weโre still smiling. Hakuba, Japan Conditions Report: 3 Feet of Fresh Snow Today Happo-One ski resort in Hakuba, Japan got around 3 feet of new snow last night which made today another damn fine powder day. At opening bell, there wasn’t much groomed resulting in skiers and riders wallowing up to their necks in snow all over the piste. Many people were absolutely stuck in the snow the first run of the day. We started off the day on the upper mountain playing with the avy fences before moving onto some open faces and eventually into the […] Conditions Report Miles Clark | January 2, 2014 1 Comment
