NOAA: 6-Inches of Snow Forecast for California Today Yet another May storm is on it’s way to California today. The storm today is forecast to drop up to 6″ of snow above 8,000-feet in the Sierras. This will be the third storm to bring significant snow to the Sierra Nevada mountain since Cali’s first big storm this month on May 7th that dropped 12-18″ on Mammoth. Another storm this past Thursday dropped 5″ on Mammoth. Tahoe’s been getting it from these storms as well but no ski resorts are open up there. 4-12″ of Snow for California Today/Tomorrow | Winter Storm Warning Issued A Gulf of Alaska storm has dropped down from Alaska, picked up moisture off the Pacific Ocean, and is headed straight for California today and tomorrow. This storm is forecast to drop 4″ below 7,000′, 4-8″ of snow above 7,000′, and up to a foot along the crest. Snow levels will be as low as 5,500′ and as high as 7,000′. 6-24″ of Snow for Tahoe Tomorrow Lake Tahoe just got 4-8″ of snow yesterday. NOAA is now forecasting another 1-2 feet of snow for Tuesday and Wednesday morning. They’re saying 6-12″ above 4,000-feet and 1-2 feet of snow on the higher peaks. NOAA: Up to a Foot of Cold Snow for Tahoe on Christmas Eve This morning, NOAA is forecasting a quick moving, cold storm that will hit Tahoe hard on Christmas Eve and hopefully leave behind up to a foot of snow. A heavy band of precipitation rolled into town about 8am forcing NOAA to issue a last minute Winter Weather Advisory. NOAA is calling for 3-7″ of new snow today before 10pm. 21″ of Snow Forecast for Mt. Bachelor Next 3 Days | Bachelor Has the Most Snow in the PNW Mt. Bachelor ski resort in Oregon has already gotten 101″ of snow at mid-mountain this winter. They have gotten more snow than anywhere in the Pacific Northwest this winter. Not bad. NOAA is currently forecasting Bachelor to get 21″ of snow in the next 3 days.
