NOAA: 6-Inches of Snow Forecast for California Today Yet another May storm is on it’s way to California today. The storm today is forecast to drop up to 6″ of snow above 8,000-feet in the Sierras. This will be the third storm to bring significant snow to the Sierra Nevada mountain since Cali’s first big storm this month on May 7th that dropped 12-18″ on Mammoth.
