Sunny skies, warm temps, and perfect spring conditions brought a truly spectacular season at Alyeska Resort, AK, to an end yesterday.

With sunny skies, warm temps, and perfect spring conditions, the 21/22 ski season came to an end today.

Thank you to all the skiers and riders, friends and families who came out to enjoy our hotel, restaurants, and time on the mountain this winter. A very special thank you to all of our fantastic employees who worked hard and made it all come together.
21/22 will go down as a truly spectacular season.

Catch you all this summer!

As is the case most years, Alyeska topped the North American snowfall charts this season, receiving a whopping 848″. It was thanks to this that the resort extended its season by a further three weekends, culminating in yesterday’s closing day.

Alyeska had previously exceeded 800″ just three times since 2005/06. In 2007/08, they reported 875″ of snow, 2009/10 880″, and 2015/16 826″. 2021/22 is now the fourth snowiest year since 2005/06.

The world record for a ski area is 1,140″ at Mt. Baker ski area, WA, in 1998/99.

SnowBrains has skied Alyeska twice this season, and we were there for closing day last season. Such a fun resort; definitely put it on your bucket list!
