Going-to-the-Sun Road, MT, Opens Today for the 2023 Season

Going-to-the-Sun Road officially opened this morning for the 2023 summer season. The road may now be accessed by motorized vehicles all the way through from both the West Glacier and St. Mary entrances. This is the earliest the road has opened since 2005. Sonora Pass (State Route 108) opened for the summer on Friday, June 9th, 2023. In total, Sonora Pass was closed this season for 211 days. Thatโ€™s the longest closure since 2004/2005 when it was closed for 220 days. The last time the pass was closed this far into the year was in 2017, when it was closed until June 13th. [โ€ฆ]

Brundage Mountain Resort, ID, is 100% Open
