Lake Tahoe Ski Resort Snow Totals: Up to 24″ of New Snow! Lake Tahoe received it’s 2nd solid winter storm in 3 days yesterday. The first storm dropped up to 8″ on the west side of the lake. Yesterdays storm dropped up to 2-feet of snow at Kirkwood. This storm is showing up very very late, but we’ll take it. Squaw has now broken 200″ of snowfall for the 2014/15 winter season. That adds up to about 44% of their average of 450″. All this new snowfall was enough for Squaw to extend their season another week to April 19th. 6-24″ of Snow for Tahoe Tomorrow Lake Tahoe just got 4-8″ of snow yesterday. NOAA is now forecasting another 1-2 feet of snow for Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Squaw/Alpine Update: Today Was Good, Tomorrow Will Be Better Squaw and Alpine reported 4″ of new snow overnight. It snowed lightly throughout the day and maybe gave us another inch. Maybe not. Alpine had Summit chair and Hot Wheels open. Summit was skiing great with fun pockets of 4-6″ deep powder in spots. You could ski everything and everything was fun. There were icy mogul heads sticking out here and there and you had to watch for ice, but overall, Summmit skied great. The weather stayed cloudy, stormy, and windy all day. Lake Tahoe Storm Totals & Photo Tour | 26″ at Mt. Rose, NV Mt. Rose ski resort in Nevada was the big winner from this storm and it’s no surprise. Forecasts were saying that below 8,000-feet, this storm was going to drop only rain. Luckily, the storm ended up colder than forecasted and we got some snow all the way down to lake level yesterday. Then, temperatures rose and we got rain on top of that snow at lake level and higher… Mt.
